Ross J. McLennan

UNO BEACH, FL  Ross J. McLennan, age 97, of Juno Beach, FL, passed away May 5, 2013 of natural causes. Ross was the son of James and Helga, born in Highland Park, MI. He attended Henry Ford School in Dearborn, MI, Detroit Law School, and graduated from Taylor University in Upland, IN. He did his post-graduate work at Northwestern University and Garrett Theological Seminary, and later returned to his alma mater, Taylor, as vice president of the University. He was an ordained member of the Detroit Methodist Conference. He was the executive director of the Michigan Temperance Foundation, later moving to Oklahoma as the executive director of Sooner Alcohol-Narcotics Education until his retirement, when he moved to south Florida. Ross is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Mary Vivian, two sons, James Paul and Robert Donald, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren, as well as a sister-in-law and a niece. A memorial service will be held at the Waterford Auditorium in Juno Beach, FL on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to: Taylor University, 235 W. Reade Ave, Upland, IN 46989.
