Albert May Todd

Albert Todd was an industrial chemist, educated at Northwestern University, who ran for governor of Michigan on the Prohibition ticket in 1894.  Born near Nottawa, Michigan on 3 June 1850, he died in Kalamazoo on 6 October 1931.
     After being defeated for governor, he switched to the Democratic Party and served one term in Congress (1897-99).  He was a collector of art and of rare books.
